IEEE EMC Technical Meeting

Huntsville, Alabama, United States, 35806

The Huntsville and Atlanta Chapters of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society invites you to participate in a Technical Meeting on May 19, 2022 featuring a talk given by Mr. Mike Randazzo of AIM-USA. The Virtual Meeting will be set up for 5:45 pm. The program will begin at 6:00 pm with some short chapter status updates. “Cyber Security on Avionics Data Busses like MIL-STD-1553” Synopsis: The need for Cyber Security is well-known today, more than ever, and affects everyone’s daily life. With that being said, it is surprising that some of the most sensitive data out there is barely protected at all. I am referring to Avionics Data busses, found on every major aircraft flying today. The most concerning bus is MIL-STD-1553, which was designed before the term “Cyber Security” was even invented. The concern is that this bus, which was designed with no infiltration protection, could be easily corrupted or manipulated if any unintended data made it on to the databus. Find out what tools are available to help detect and test for vulnerabilities. Below is the meeting information to join the presentation. Deep and Reinforcement Learning in 5G and 6G

Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/314865

This presentation by Dr.Melike Erol-Kantarci, from University of Ottawa. Presentation subject is on AI-Enable Wireless Networks titled "Deep and Reinforcement Learning in 5G and 6G" Register Now!! Registration closes May 26th, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST Abstract: The next generation of wireless networks, also known as Beyond 5G and 6G, will need a very high level of automation. This is both because of the increased complexity, and also thanks to the availability of more data, advanced Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and strong processing capabilities. When it comes to automation of networks, intelligent control algorithms that allow turning the knobs and optimizing system parameters become essential. Reinforcement learning and deep reinforcement learning algorithms have shown great success in other areas in AI and ML. In this talk, we will provide an overview of the state-of-art in reinforcement and deep reinforcement learning algorithms and their applications to wireless networks, as well as new architectures such as O-RAN, in addition to their challenges and the open issues in terms of their applicability to various functions of future wireless networks.
