Deep Space Exploration Society – Some Serious Amateur Radio

Deep Space Exploration Society (DSES) Richard Hambly, Life Senior Member The Deep Space Exploration Society (DSES) is a Colorado-based 501(c)3 volunteer organization dedicated to radio astronomy, built around a restored 60-foot radio telescope on the eastern plains. Members observe and study pulsars and magnetars. They study galaxies by looking at the 21 cm hydrogen line and monitor the Sun and Jupiter. They extend this mission to monitoring manmade objects like NASA’s Artemis-II and other deep space objects. DSES also supports Amateur Radio activities with its amateur radio station K0PRT. This includes Earth–Moon–Earth contacts and the ongoing Earth–Venus–Earth project. Scientists, Engineers, and others are welcome.
