IEEE GRSS Student Branch Chapter at UGA presents the LiDAR for Geoscience and Remote Sensing Series. Join us for an expert seminar on LiDAR data processing and a hands-on workshop to master the dataset for our upcoming Whitehall LiDAR Challenge! Segment 1: LiDAR Data Processing Seminar Main Speaker: Dr. Tao Liu, Assistant Professor of Precision Forestry Dr. Liu will provide a foundational overview of state-of-the-art LiDAR technologies and data processing methodologies. The session will also highlight his recent research applications, making it an excellent introduction for all attendees. Segment 2: Workshop on Whitehall LiDAR Challenge- Mastering the Competition Dataset & Challenge Kickoff (separate RSVP will be sent out) Get prepared for the Whitehall LiDAR Challenge (Launch Date: June 1 | Deadline: August 31). We will walk through the competition dataset to give your team a head start.
