Manning Oaks Elementary in Alpharetta, GA hosted its first Family Science Night (FSN) on January 28.
Over 500 students and their families participated in 15 activities with 25 volunteers.
The IEEE Atlanta Section is hosting a Family Science Night at Ocee Elementary School (4375 Kimball Bridge Road in Alpharetta) on Wednesday, October 28th from 6:30 to 8:00. We are looking for guest science instructors and volunteers for this event. As a guest science instructor, you would lead three, identical twenty-five minute classes with students and their families. Classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. You can select your topic and determine the presentation of the content. Or, if you can lead a stock activity, Melody can help guide you to a topic, forward the activitys description and its instructions, and have the supplies waiting in your classroom at FSN. If you are interested in becoming a FSN volunteer or have any questions, please contact Melody Richardson @ Richardson.Melody@gmail.com or 678-429-1858.
