The Atlanta Science Festival’s Exploration Expo is the “Atlanta’s biggest science party” and  the culminating event of the Atlanta Science Festival.  Over 25,000 curious kids and adults witness the wonder of science with more than 100 hands-on interactive science booths, live science demos, and shows from local organizations, universities, and companies.

For the past 3 years, Region 3 & the Atlanta Section of IEEE have sponsored the Curious Kids Zone, a place designed to inspire future scientists and engineers with STEM and STEAM activities specifically for ages 3 and older.  Below are pictures of our exhibit booths “The Engineer’s Workshop” & “Recharging Power & Potential” as well as our mobile exhibit IEEE USA’s MOVE truck.

The Engineer’s Workshop

Inside the Engineer’s Workshop participants made the ultimate bubble wand, spun the wheel of engineering, constructed a robot grabber, flew a rotocopter, and mastered the three little pigs STEM challenge.
