IEEE Atlanta Section GEF Scholarships
For almost 40 years, the Georgia Engineering Foundation (GEF) has sponsored a program that awards college scholarships to worthy Georgia students who are preparing for a career in engineering or engineering technology. Since 1985, over 650 students have been awarded scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. In 2010, 30 awards were made available.
All scholarships are competitively awarded based on the student’s demonstrated competence in academics, interest in developing a career in engineering, financial need, and school and community involvement.
The IEEE Atlanta Section is a member of the Georgia Engineering Foundation (GEF) and sponsors 3 scholarships each year. Many scholarships are available through GEF for engineering students, in addition to the 3 sponsored by the Section.
The scholarship application site is open. Deadline to complete the application is August 31, 2012. http://www.gefinc.org/apply/apply.html
